Hatchery research center Advisory Committee to meet June 8 in Alsea
ALSEA, Ore. — The Oregon Hatchery Research Center (OHRC) Advisory Committee will meet Wednesday, June 8 at the Oregon Hatchery Research Center, 2418 E. Fall Creek Rd. Alsea, Ore.
The meeting will be from 9:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. and the agenda includes reports on facilities, budgets and other business relating to the operations of the OHRC. The Committee also will be briefed on studies of the comparative diets of wild and hatchery salmon, and differing responses to lead in coastal streams.

PIERRE, S.D. – To protect the public and limit further damage to homes, docks and other private property along the Missouri River, Governor Dennis Daugaard has declared the South Dakota portion of the Missouri River from Paddlewheel Point upstream to a line stretching from the electronic sign placed near the boat ramp in Nebraska Tailwaters Recreation Area to a similar sign on the Training Dike Recreation Area as a No Wake Zone, effective at Noon on Friday, May 27, 2011.

TILLAMOOK, Ore. – With good numbers of hatchery spring chinook beginning to arrive, and the bulk of the run yet to come, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) has decided to extend the fishing season at the “hatchery hole” on the Trask River. The hatchery hole is located on the Trask River at Trask Hatchery.
